Leigh is a public school director of counseling, and one of the things that means is that she often spends her own money to benefit the kids. Over the years, I have seen her buy clothes, pay ACT test fees, and otherwise spend money on things her kids have needed. When I first made my list of New Things, one of them was to give Leigh some of my money that I have saved, to spend on her kids. I did that today.
