"The Awakening" statue in Chesterfield is one of Missouri's great
underrated sights. It is a giant statue of a man, buried in the ground
so that it looks like he is trying to dig his way out of the earth. It
is a second version of the artist's original work, created in Maryland.
Google it and be sure to swing by the next time you are near
Chesterfield. It is absolutely worth the quick detour.
