For a chamber of commerce ribbon cutting, today I attended the grand opening of Barred Owl Butcher. If you have not been there, you should absolutely go. It is an old fashioned butcher shop on steroids, with all kinds of incredibly high-quality meats (fresh, smoked-in-house, etc.), fancy cheeses, wine, and a various other things. Everything looks so delicious and artisanal; it really is a a wonderful addition to the Columbia foodscape.
