Growing up, I certainly went to parades in our small Kentucky town, but I was never a big parade kid. At MU and after, I stopped by very few homecoming parades, and never watched more than a few minutes of one. This year, for the first time, I went with college friends, sitting right in front of the Student Union Building, and it was very fun. I loved seeing the bands, and the kids, and the floats, and everything. I knew lots of people walking and driving the parade, so that was also very cool. I guess it took an hour or so, and I am so glad I hauled myself out of bed at 7:00 am and went.
