New Thing 296, New Thing Every Day: Officially Propose the Creation of a National Veterans Entrepreneurship Center

This is an idea I have been thinking about for maybe six months and today was the day to pull the trigger. I have written a preliminary proposal -- really, more of a conversation starter -- and sent it to someone I know who might be interested in funding the start-up. Maybe they will, maybe they won't; either way, I have decided to move forward with it.

Here is one of the main sections, so you can see what I am talking about.

Some of the Things We Could Provide Entrepreneurs
Together, we could build a comprehensive entrepreneurship program, focused on veterans and members of the military. We would provide education, networking opportunities, and vast information resources. The entrepreneurs who work with us will be more likely to succeed.
•    Educational events/seminars/programs, teaching both introductory and advanced entrepreneurship
•    In-seat and online curriculum
•    Business consulting services
•    Links to valuable alliances (organization, governmental, with other companies and entrepreneurs, etc.)
•    Wealth of online resources (housed within the Columbia College website)

Now, we will see how how it goes!
